Birkett Farm has been a family concern for generations – and remains a working farm to this day. Located in the shadow of Helvellyn and Blencathra, and with stunning views over St John’s in the Vale, it is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life.

Set in a stunning location in the Lake District, the landscape is breathtaking and the famous market town of Keswick is easily accessible.

Each of the huts has been lovingly crafted to deliver all the luxuries you expect in a modern holiday – but in the middle of the idyllic Lake District. In addition, each hut has it’s own private patio area fire pit and hot tub. The owners designed and decked out the huts using locally sourced materials to support their community and ensure that every aspect of the accommodation is just perfect.

It’s the perfect base from which to explore the Lake District. Located where two rivers meet, enjoy a paddle, wild swimming, or canoe. Simply step out of your accommodation and into the clear river water at St Johns Beck. Additionally, the property has direct access to the Threlkeld to Keswick old railway line – a popular three-mile-long footpath and cycleway. So after a hard day’s trekking, cycling, wild swimming or visiting one of the quaint local towns, there is nothing like a dip in the wood fired hot tub, a glass of bubbles and a beautiful sunset to provide the perfect end to the day.
