A romantic, unique and curved cabin for two with a huge stone bath and rain shower in Somerset
Vilberie Cabin
Vilberie is a unique and curved cabin for two, with a separate bathing roundhouse with huge stone tub and rain shower. Surrounding Viberie is a beautiful arboretum, which was originally a cider orchard, with Vilberie taking its name from a traditional Somerset cider apple.
We love the separate roundhouse with a large stone tub and rainfall shower, perfect for both of you to bathe in style together.
The main cabin itself is stylishly quirky and luxuriously roomy, with unique furnishings for your bedroom with kingsize bed, living room and fully fitted kitchen. Relax and unwind in your curved cabin with underfloor heating, luxury bed linen, fluffy robes, slippers and towels and Bramley toiletries.
If outdoor living is more your style, why not cook in the outside kitchen on the Weber BBQ or Gozney Pizza oven and soak up Somerset cabin living.
Vilberie Cabin at The Orchard at Fenny Castle is actually one of three bespoke wildlife retreats at the edge of the Mendip Hills in Somerset, with breathtaking views across the Somerset countryside. There are two treehouses, Dabinet and Pomeroy and One Cabin, Vilberie. The two treehouses and cabin are beautifully crafted, offering many spoiling features as couples retreats. The owners believe that luxury and nature can coexist harmoniously and have built sustainable luxury retreats to ensure that your holiday doesn’t come at the expense of the environment. We especially love the Orchard at Fenny’s unique location in the Mendips, with its’ abundance of wildlife and calm.
Explore
To help you explore the stunning Somerset surroundings without adding to your carbon footprint, the owners have provided guests with dutch vintage bicycles. Or why not spend your days hiking across the Mendips and drop into next doors vineyard on the way home for a little wine tasting? Visit nearby Wells Cathedral for a history, food festivals and carnivals.
This is a fantastic area for walking and bird watching, with three RSBP reserves close by at Shapwick Heath, Ham Wall and West Hay. At dusk in the winter months you can see the world famous Starling murmurations.
Always important to factor in, are three walkable pubs: The Pheasant Inn at the end of the lane which runs behind the treehouse, The Burcott or the Ring O’Bells in Wookey. You must try the Sheppey Inn at Godney, which is just a 10-minute drive away and this quirky establishment has been rated one of the best British pubs.
Perfect for:
