    The Fold, Herefordshire

    Luxury with a Lighter Footprint

Caring for the landscape has been at the heart of The Fold from the very beginning. Set within 18 acres of rewilded countryside, these retreats were designed to sit gently within their surroundings, allowing guests to enjoy a slower, more sustainable way to escape without sacrificing comfort.

Each retreat is powered primarily by solar energy, with fresh spring water drawn from a borehole, UV filtered and supplied across the estate. Compost loos, eco-friendly toiletries and refillable products help reduce waste, while ongoing tree planting and habitat restoration projects continue to enhance the natural environment around The Fold.

Owner Matt and his family remain committed to ensuring The Fold has a positive impact on the land it occupies, with a long-term goal of becoming carbon neutral. The result is a stay that feels thoughtful, restorative and closely connected to nature.

    Dog Friendly Stays

Dogs are welcome at the Treehouse, A-Frame and Nova Dome, making The Fold a wonderful choice for countryside escapes with your four-legged companion. With walks from the doorstep and plenty of open countryside to explore, there’s no need to leave anyone behind.

For comfort after muddy adventures, dog-washing facilities are available at the dog-friendly retreats. Please note that the Scandi Cabin is the only retreat at The Fold that does not welcome dogs.
