The Fold, Herefordshire, 3 sustainable cabins

Sustainable & Luxury Cabins in beautiful Countryside at The Fold, Herefordshire

Introducing you to three wonderful and sustainable cabins; Owner Matt and his family have built the most fabulous Scandi Cabin, Treehouse and A Frame cabin, all complete with wood-fired hot tubs or outdoor baths. The cabins are in an unrivalled rural position, sitting within 18 acres of rewilded countryside looking over the valley with beautiful views.

The cabins are off grid and sustainable and have been built with luxury in mind, but there’s great wifi for those of you who can’t go totally off grid. The cabins are approximately 150 metres from each other, each tucked away in the trees for privacy. Two of the retreats are dog friendly.

Light the fire, poor a glass, relax in the hot tub after a long walk and set up the board games, you’re going off grid in style.

Innovative design and commitment to eco-friendly luxury

George Clarke discovered The Fold and featured these wonderful retreats in his 2024 series of Amazing Spaces.

Sustainability is a priority for The Fold, Herefordshire

Solar powered spring water from a bore hole is UV filtered and pumped around site and the retreats are powered bby solar generated electricity (USB charging points, so don’t bring the hairdryer). Caring for the environment has been the starting point for the creation of The Fold.

The only addition is BIO LPG gas, providing hot water for your morning shower and a hob for cooking.

Matt also has a tree planting scheme aimed to make sure The Fold has a truly positive effect on our surroundings.

    Other initiatives include:

    • Compost loos
    • Composting
    • Eco-cleaning products
    • Eco-toiletries
    • Refillable cleaning products and toiletries

The long term sustainability goals for the Fold Herefordshire is to be carbon neutral.

    Outside the Cabins

Each cabin has its own balcony with fabulous views across the valley and why not enjoy morning coffee or a sundowner looking across the neighbouring vineyard. Stargazing from your hot tub or outdoor bath is a must with the clear starry night skies that Herefordshire enjoys. Relax and prepare your meals outside using your Kamado bbq and wood-fired pizza oven.
