    The Workers Cottage

An idyllic cottage – formerly owned by Queen Elizabeth II – commanding spectacular views of the Norfolk countryside

Nestled at the end of a quiet lane, The Workers Cottage is an idyllic cottage getaway in North Norfolk. It’s a place to enjoy laid back luxury in a charming 19th century cottage that was once owned by Queen Elizabeth II as part of the Sandringham Estate.

The cottage itself is characterful and boasts a fusion of contemporary style and traditional décor that befits its status. Spectacular views across the Norfolk countryside can be enjoyed from bedroom windows or the garden.

When the weather is fine, guests are welcome to make use of the outside cooking and dining areas – and there is even an al fresco bath and shower. And in the cooler months, the underfloor heating is warm and welcoming.

All mod cons are included and there are board games and entertainment for you to enjoy too.

If you fancy venturing out, there are bars and restaurants just a 15-minute drive away. And you can walk to the local shop and cafe in a couple of minutes to pick up any essentials.

You can visit the Sandringham Estate from here and see the seat from which the Queen traditionally delivered her Christmas speech. And the Bircham windmill is a lesser known site that is fascinating to visit when it’s open during the summer.

All bedrooms have blackout blinds or curtains, so you’re guaranteed a good night’s sleep.
