A Minimalist Off Grid Luxury Eco Cabin in the North Devon Countryside
This unique space was featured on George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces and it’s a simple, unique retreat offering a total off grid experience with a few luxury frills including a super comfy mezzanine double bed, warming log burner, hammock and wood burning hot tub.
It’s the perfect retreat for a couple wanting to reconnect, relax and make the most of a country focused few days away in the Devon countryside without the temptations of technology.
The Twit for Twoo overlooks a valley in remote peace and quiet on a working farm in Devon. There’s some great walking country with the Dartmoor National Park nearby and lots of local walks from the farm. It’s also a great location to visit the local North Devon Beaches including Saunton Sands, Putsborough Beach and Woolacombe for a spot of surfing.
The Twit for Twoo is run by solar power and there is a log burner which does a great job to keep the retreat warm and toasty in the colder months. Normally, bookings can be made from mid March to the end of October, but you are able to contact the owner directly and arrange a stay during the winter months should you be tempted.
Cooking is basic in the hut, with a single hob gas cooker and bbq, but Farmer Stu also offers delicious home made ‘ready’ meals to help you get along.
80% of the Twit for Twoo’s bookings are for Birthday, Anniversaries or Mini moons and the Owners embrace these occasions by decorating the cabin and help you source local cakes and other ways to celebrate.
It’s perfect for wildlife watchers and fishermen as we have fishing rights with the river Torridge a field away.
Not quite our usual ‘Boutique Luxury Retreat’, but we loved this so much we had to include it in our more ‘Quirky’ collections.
