From the outside, it might look like a shepherd’s hut, but step inside and you’ll find more of a boutique holiday cottage – light, spacious and filled with thoughtful details. Designed from two handcrafted huts joined in a clever L-shape, it gives you 50 square metres of living space to spread out and unwind. And when it comes to relaxing, the private sunken jacuzzi on the terrace is hard to beat – perfect for starlit soaks, sunset chats or simply a quiet moment to yourself.

Well Furlong Retreat is well equipped, with a large open plan kitchen with breakfast bar and dining table. There’s a sitting room area with two sofas, a Hobbit Wood Burner, SMART TV and great wifi. Key sockets have USB ports. And of course, there is the private hot tub to indulge in as well with accompanying . When sunsets and the night chill draws in, pull down the blinds and enjoy a night cap by the ‘hobbit’ log burner.
The bathroom has a spoiling luxury double shower and the sleeping arrangements are cleverly designed, with a sumptuous super kingsize or twin bedroom (link bed) adjoining the sitting room and a hidden double ‘bunk’ room – with two double beds in, situated the other side of the bathroom, for either two adults to sleep or up to four children. All sheets are 300 thread 100% cotton.

No need to leave your four-legged friend behind — this Worcestershire retreat is proudly dog friendly. The owners are dog lovers themselves and welcome one well-behaved dog to join you in the Shepherd’s Hut. Pups are allowed in the kitchen and sitting room only, and a handy dog gate has been provided to make things easier. A second dog may be possible with prior written permission.
Step outside and your dog will be in heaven — with 80 acres of private farmland to roam, plus endless footpaths leading straight from the door. Spend the day climbing Bredon Hill or exploring classic Cotswold walking routes, then round things off with a well-earned pint (and perhaps a biscuit for the dog) at one of the many nearby dog-friendly pubs and restaurants.
