Upper House is a beautiful family home in the countryside, sleeping up to 9 guests in 5 bedrooms, perfect for a large family or a group of friends to spend a country weekend in beautiful Worcestershire.

This is Owner Serena’s family home, whilst they are living abroad, so expect a wonderful home to make your own with beautiful interiors and extra touches, with family facilities and equipment that you wouldn’t necessarily be able to have in a standard holiday house.

Inside Upper House Worcestershire

Upper House is a wonderfully homely family home, with a large eat-in kitchen/diner with an AGA and wood burning stove, smart TV and kitchen table for 10. There is a cosy middle sitting room with wood burning stove and smart TV, two offices if you need to have some quiet laptop time with great wifi and a playroom for the kids and teenagers with babby-foot and a piano. There’s also a sonos music system throughout the house.

The house has 5 bedrooms and is able to sleep up to 9 guests, with 2 bathrooms and a shower room. All bedrooms have stunning views to the Welsh Marches and towards the Black Mountains of Wales.

This is a family home, so not all bedrooms are ensuite. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with balcony and fabulous views.

The other 4 bedrooms share a large family bathroom with a roll top bath and shower:

• A single bedroom with an ensuite shower room
• A double bedroom
• A twin bedroom
• A double bedroom downstairs, ideal for less mobile grandparents
• These all share the family bathroom

The house is designed for a large family with a huge utility room in the cellar with washing machine, drying rack and tumble dryer, a big fridge freezer and separate drinks fridge.

Not forgetting the all essential bootroom for muddy wellies, coats and for the dogs to dry off!

Outside with countryside views across the Worcestershire countryside

This lovely family house sits in a perfect position in hamlet Hanley Childe, off a no through road and within 14 acres of farmland overlooking the Teme Valley in Worcestershire.

Make the most of fabulous views and incredible sunsets, relaxing with a sundowner in the hammock, whilst the children run wild in a huge family friendly garden with croque and other garden toys. The garden is ideal for lazy pottering summer days and evenings, with a BBQ and firepit, lots of garden furniture and a perfect entertaining area for sundowners with friends and family.

From your doorway at Upper House you can pick up footpaths across the fields to enjoy the Worcestershire countryside. For cycling enthusiasts, make the most of the Worcestershire countryside and trails across the Malvern Hills or a little further to the Shropshire Hills.

Upper House is dog friendly

This is wonderful walking country and well behaved dogs are welcome, with a great boot room for wet dogs to dry off.

The Local Area of Worcestershire

Upper House is in hamlet Hanley Childe and there is a lovely pub, The Baiting House, just 5 mins drive away. It’s a 10 minute drive to the pretty market town of Tenbury Wells and 30 minutes away is the must-see historic town of Ludlow.

This area is well known for its small market towns with independent shops, restaurants and antique houses. Leominster, Ludlow and Bromyard are all nearby to enjoy the local market towns of both Worcestershire and Herefordshire.

Getting there

Located in the heart of Worcestershire, the closest town is Tenbury Wells. It is approximately 3 hours from London, 1 hour from Birmingham, 1.5 hours from Bristol
