The Old Granary
The grade II listed Visit England 5-star Gold award cottage features all the rustic charm you would expect from a cottage in the Peak District along with modern conveniences for your comfort including a private jacuzzi hydrotherapy hot tub. If you’re looking for luxury self catering accommodation in the countryside then you found it. The holiday home can cater for up to 6 guests with three bedrooms all with luxurious king size beds. Two of the bedrooms with French cane beds and original oak beams and have en suite bathrooms and there is a further separate family bathroom.
The Cabin
Available from July, nestled in a wildflower meadow this is the perfect romantic retreat for two guests to unwind and be surrounded by nature. The cabin is insulated with sheep’s wool insulation and underfloor heating to make even colder times months in the year appealing. Relax on the deck and see birds of prey in nearby fields and inside you’ll find a king size bed for you to slumber and plan your next day’s adventure.
The Area
If you want to explore the local area, there are too many hiking and biking routes to name, along with numerous sites to visit. From museums, mines and caverns, to the wonderful Chatsworth House and local towns and villages that include Matlock and Bakewell, the choice of things to do is so varied.
Thrillseekers can travel to Alton Towers or Gulliver’s Land – and you can gaze across this beautiful part of the world from a cable car at the Heights of Abraham.
Location
The Old Granary and Cabin are situated in the pretty village of Wheatcroft which is just outside the market town of Matlock.
