Well Furlong Cottage has beautiful interiors and is fully modernised with underfloor heating, offering flexibility for families, friends or work colleagues; sleeping 6 in 3 ensuite twin or super king size bedrooms and able to sleep an additional 2 if you book out the games room (twin or SKS) and accompanying bathroom exclusively, making it a very roomy and fun retreat for 8.
Well Furlong has a lovely farmhouse kitchen and other reception rooms including a cosy sitting room with SMART TV, snug library area and huge games room. In addition, the charming cottage has its own large enclosed private and enclosed garden (dog secure) facing out onto fields with stunning views of beautiful countryside and Bredon Hill.
Located in the beautiful village of Little Comberton with its honey-coloured houses, village church and rolling landscape, this dreamy Cotswold cottage is positioned at the bottom of Bredon Hill near Cheltenham – at the edge of the Cotswolds area of outstanding natural beauty – on the borders of Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.
In a nearby field, you can also book Well Furlong Shepherds Retreat, which sleeps 2-4 and is a perfect place for grandparents to stay and have their own space.

There is lots of room both inside and outside at Well Furlong Cottage and you only need to glance at the floor plans, photographs and video to see this. Inside the cottage, there are plenty of reception areas aswell as the huge games room, swimming pool and spa area, so you don’t all have to be in the same place at once and if the grandparents need to find a cosy corner or room to rest and regroup, this is the cottage for you.
This is a family retreat with literally acres of private countryside with stunning views onto Bredon Hill to explore and let off steam. Play tennis on the astro court, croquet in the garden, 5 a-side football on the new grass pitch or go for a long walk with the dogs without having to cross a road.
There’s no time to get bored at Well Furlong. It’s also weather proof at any time of the year, with its enormous games room and the indoor swimming pool to enjoy whenever you like.

If you give us details about your group and / or family, we will cater your stay towards you and provide extras such as toys, games, baby equipment etc to help you bring less and enjoy your stay more. We are happy to help you organise a spoiling stay and add extras like spa treatments and a private chef.
All bedrooms can either be used with twin beds or Super King which helps give groups more flexibility and we have a cot bed and pull out beds for a couple of extra little ones.
Leadership Off Sites
We are happy to help you organise leadership offsites and focused strategy meetings.
Do get in touch with us by email or phone if you would like to discuss designing a bespoke off site retreat for your leadership team. We work closely with a local senior leadership coach and can design some much needed rest and relaxation around a few intense days away of high level strategy planning with wellness sessions focused on nutrition, mindfulness and more standard pilates, yoga and holistic therapies, all carried out onsite.

The Swimming Pool, Tennis Court, Football Pitch and Games Room – How it works
The Games Room and the Swimming Pool and Spa (heated swimming pool is at 29 degrees) are attached to the cottage, so you don’t have to go outside to access them and can come down in your dressing gowns to relax and swim. Should you need, this is also a perfect place to work from with strong wifi and peaceful areas.
The Pool & Spa, Games Room, Tennis Court and Football Pitch are shared between you the guests in the Well Furlong Cottage and Well Furlong’s owners, who live next door. No other properties have access to the Spa, which makes it a Unique and Special offering. We as the owners never use these facilities at the same time as you.
Well Furlong Cottage, A Dog Friendly Cottage
We love having well behaved dogs to stay. If you would like to bring more than one well behaved dog, please do get in touch with us to request this, before you book.
Dog friendly areas are downstairs in the non-carpeted areas, specifically the hallway and kitchen and we can supply a dog bed, towel and bowl on request.
Well Furlong Cottage is best suited to those dogs who love the outdoors and walks, with a well fenced and enclosed dog friendly garden and approximately 80 acres of private farmland to explore. You can get onto Bredon Hill for longer walks from our land and there are many footpaths which you can take from Well Furlong.
Well Furlong does not have any livestock, except for the ponies, who live in the paddocks closest to the cottage. The ponies are used to dogs but we request that when you are walking through these fields, visiting dogs are kept on leads.
Well Furlong Cottage, Where to Find Us
Well Furlong Cottage is situated at the end of a long quiet private drive in the village of Little Comberton, surrounded by beautiful rolling Cotswold countryside. The local pub ‘The Queens’ is within walking distance (1.5 miles) in the charming next door village of Elmley Castle and a village green where you can enjoy an afternoon watching cricket. The villages may have Roman origins and with many of the farmhouses and properties dating back to the 16th and 17th century, it is one of the most charming villages in south Worcestershire.
There is a farm shop in the nearby village of Cropthorne “Clives”, or Broadway and Pershore have a wider range of shops and restaurants.
Well Furlong Cottage, Explore The Cotswolds
Well Furlong Cottage is perfect as a relaxing base for the Cheltenham Literary and Cheltenham Race Festival. There are many National Trust Houses to visit, including Croome Park and Hanbury Hall. Some of the local Cotswold visits to visit include Broadway, Stow on the Wold, Cotswold Water Park, Bourton on the Water and Burford. Blenheim Palace is approximately a 40 minute drive away. Visit Stratford-upon-Avon and take in some Shakespeare or visit the RHS Malvern Spring Festival.
The Cotswolds has much to offer with fantastic walking with Bredon Hill on our doorstep, many nearby picturesque Cotswolds villages, and the rolling hills of the Malverns close by. Walkers can access Bredon Hill, the Wychavon Way, Winchcombe Way and Cotswold Way or The Malvern Hills.

As per the house rules, one well behaved dog in the uncarpeted areas per party. Dependent on the make up of the party, we may on occasions allow a 2nd dog but this needs to be approved in writing before you book the property.
This is the perfect place to come and cycle – mountain or racing bikes and we have a secure lock up to keep your bikes.
Finally, although our set up offers something similar to a boutique hotel offering – we are not a hotel and the cottage is part of our home and should be treated as such, we do the cleaning and changeovers ourselves and expect you to leave the cottage as you found it.
If you are looking for more of a spoiling hotel type stay and would rather have other people clear up after yourselves then we can recommend a lovely hotel called Dormy House (www.dormyhouse.co.uk), just down the road in Broadway.

3 ensuite bedrooms, 1 on ground floor off the kitchen, 2 upstairs, Every bedroom can be set up as 2 single beds or one SKS bed. All linen is 300 count Egyptian cotton, hairdryer in each bedroom, USB charger points next to beds
4th bedroom with bathroom next door(you can book this at an additional cost, which also gives you exclusive use of games room & library area)
All ensuite bathrooms have baths with showers, 2 x bath sheets per person, hand wash in reusable containers
Large kitchen with wood burner, kitchen table – seating 8, 6 hob range cooker, sofa, TV, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, nespresso coffee machine. There is a large additional fridge freezer opposite the laundry cupboard in the hall. The traditional farmhouse is very well equipped for dinner parties and for visiting private chefs. We also supply washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, basic supply of coffee, tea and sugar, salt and pepper, dish cloths, t towels, antibacterial spray.

We try to live our lives and deliver to our guests spoiling and luxury holidays in sustainable and eco friendly retreats with a particular focus for improving and rewilding the small organic 80 acres of private land that we are lucky enough to live in.
We have Green Tourism accreditation and have committed to improving our green initiatives wherever possible at Well Furlong Retreats.

The nearest shop is in the village of Pershore, 2.3 miles or each Saturday there is a pop-up shop and coffee land rover in the Little Comberton Village hall, approximately 100m away.
The nearest bus stop is in the village hall, 100m away.
The nearest train stations are Pershore – 3.8 miles, 10 mins drive. With hourly trains to London (2 hours), Oxford (1 hour) or Worcestershire Parkway – 6.9 miles, 15 mins drive, with hourly trains to Birmingham (30 mins).
There is secure cycle storage within Well Furlong if required, please inform us if this is required prior to arrival.There are several taxi firms in Pershore / Evesham offering accessible transport locally.
We can accept shopping deliveries from major supermarkets etc by arrangement.
Arrival & Car Parking
Well Furlong is just off the bend of Pershore Road, as you drive past the village Hall we are the third drive on the left through two stone pillars and open wooden gates up a gravel drive.
Well Furlong cottage has a level car park, with a tiled surface directly outside the cottage front door. From the car park into the front door there is a 15cm step into the cottage through a 92cm wide front door.
Well Furlong Shepherds Retreat:
- Parking is up a farm track with a loose chipping parking area. There is a 75m gravel pathway from the parking area to the Shepherds Retreat. There are 4 x 21cm steps from the gravel path up to the raised decking, that gives access to the front door.
- The front double doors can be opened to give a 187cm wide opening, there is an 8cm lip over the threshold of the door.
- There is oak flooring throughout the Retreat.
- The width of the Single stable style decking door leading directly from the bed area is 88cm.
- The living area of the cabin is open plan.
- The top of the mattress is 69 cm from the floor.
- The kitchen sink tap is a traditional spoked turn handle.
- The width of the bathroom door is 69cm
- The bathroom floor is also oak boards.
- The “lip” into the shower is 2cm.
- The bathroom sink taps are a traditional spoked turn handle.
- The depth of the step from the decking up to the sunken hot tub is 25 cm.
- The hot tub is 63cm deep from the top of the hot tub to the hot tub seat.
- All external door handles are lever operated, the internal bathroom door has a traditional thumb lever handle.
- All bedding is 300 thread Egyptian cotton.
Outside Space
- The Shepherds Retreat is set in an undulating, uncut meadow.
- The area immediately around the cabin is kept close mowed and there is a firepit with wooden logs as stools.
