Unique eco friendly retreats
Many of the retreats handpicked for the Boutique Luxury Retreats collection have been crafted by the owners themselves with a bespoke design and using locally sourced materials. Our owners deliver to their guests spoiling and luxury holidays in sustainable and eco friendly retreats that minimises the environmental impact of commercial travel and tourism. Many owners have Green Tourism accreditation and have committed to improving green initiatives wherever possible at their retreats. Here are some of their initiatives:
- Using solar energy generated on site to support guest electricity usage and using a green rated energy supplier
- Installation and use of ground source heat pumps
- Local wood for guest firepit and woodburner use;
- Retreats double insulated to the highest standards
- Zoned heating LED lighting
- Easy recycling for guests
- Locally sourced products from their local communities – food and furniture
- Environmentally-friendly chemicals in cleaning products and guests use Recycled toilet paper
- Sustainable body products with re usable containers and reduction of single use plastic products
- Rewilding initiatives including ild flower meadows planting to support local biodiversity
- Bat and Bird boxes
- Planting new native trees initiatives, many plant a tree planted for every guest staying in their retreats
