Alongside the cottages sits the main house – The Grange – a historic country estate with a long association with hosting and gathering. First established in the 17th century and later reimagined as a grand Neo-Classical residence, it has welcomed notable figures over the centuries, including the Prince Regent, later King George IV. Today, it continues that legacy as a destination venue for weddings, retreats and seasonal events.

The estate is also home to a theatre, now the setting for the annual summer opera festival, continuing a tradition of performance and entertainment within the grounds. Alongside this, additional spaces including the Abbotstone Barn, offer further flexibility for hosting events of different scales and styles.

At its centre are two larger houses – Abbotstone Farmhouse and Lake House Cottage – both offering generous space for hosting and spending time together, alongside smaller cottages that can be added on or booked separately.
