For luxury stays in the Cotswolds, Well Furlong Shepherd’s Retreat has all that you could want. This uniquely designed L-shaped hut is incredibly spacious and set in 80-acres of arable organic farmland at the foot of the Bredon Hills – and surrounded by spectacular views.
The open plan kitchen with breakfast bar is fully equipped for longer stays with a coffee machine and even includes a dishwasher, full freezer and washer / dryer. And the living area is snug and warm thanks to the hobbit wood burner. But the rustic feel is complemented by modern conveniences such as a smart TV, Wi-fi and USB ports.

Inside the retreat

The main bedroom boasts a super kingsize bed – and there is a hidden double bunk room that’s ideal for kids. All bedsheets are 100% cotton for an added touch of elegance and comfort.

Outside the retreat

The decking area includes a sunken jacuzzi, sun loungers and space for a spot of al fresco dining. And if the weather is fine, why not cook your food over the barbecue before settling down with a glass of bubbles by the firepit?
Guests are free to roam the grounds and make use of the outside space for playing games. A badminton set, swing ball set and SMITE are provided, but you can bring your own games too.

There’s also a football pitch for you to enjoy, a little further from the retreat.

Further Afield

Further afield, there are lots of stunning walking and cycling routes. If you prefer to visit the Cotswolds by car, you can take in many of the quaint and distinctive towns and villages across the area. Our favourite is nearby Broadway, just 10 minutes in the car.

Why not walk with the dogs to our local pub, The Queen Elisabeth in Elmley Castle, just a 30 minute walk beneath Bredon Hill.

The retreat is ideally placed if you’re looking for accommodation for the Cheltenham Festival.
