A fantastic fairytale treehouse castle for two in the trees in Somerset
Pomeroy Treehouse
Come and stay in this fantastic fairytale treehouse castle for two in the trees.
Pomeroy Treehouse is totally magical.
Inside the Treehouse
From the moment you climb up the handcrafted staircase and open the trap door to discover a roomy and unique retreat with a wonderfully calm sitting room with floor-to-ceiling windows and a wood burner to the stylishly furnished kitchen and cosy bedroom area with king size bed, you can relax and unwind in magical splendour. Relax and unwind in your curved cabin with luxury bed linen, fluffy robes, slippers and towels and Bramley toiletries.
Outside the Treehouse
Enjoy food al fresco by making the most of the outdoor kitchen with its own sink, BBQ, pizza oven, and even an outdoor fridge on the main treehouse terrace area, which has stunning views across the Somerset countryside and Mendip Hills.
There is a wonderful spa on the deck, with an outdoor grand bathtub for two and an air spa system, perfect for stargazing. You can also have a session in the Finnish electric sauna and complete your spa time in the double outdoor showers.
We’ve saved the best until the last. Climb up the secret spiral staircase from your treehouse, and you will find a fabulous roof terrace with a gas fire pit and outdoor TV built into the wall. There is even a dumb waiter will bring your drinks and food up, and there’s a breakfast bar with early morning views across the vineyard next door and the cathedral in the distance.
This is a totally unique and magical retreat; we love it.
Other Treehouses
Pomeroy Treehouse at The Orchard at Fenny Castle is actually one of three bespoke wildlife retreats at the edge of the Mendip Hills in Somerset, with breathtaking views across the Somerset countryside. There are two treehouses, Dabinet and Pomeroy and One Cabin, Vilberie. The two treehouses and cabin are beautifully crafted, offering many spoiling features as couples retreats. The owners believe that luxury and nature can coexist harmoniously and have built sustainable luxury retreats to ensure that your holiday doesn’t come at the expense of the environment. We especially love the Orchard at Fenny’s unique location in the Mendips, with its’ abundance of wildlife and calm.
The Area
The owners have provided guests with Dutch vintage bikes to help them explore the stunning Somerset surroundings without adding to their carbon footprint. Or why not spend your days hiking across the Mendips and drop into the next-door vineyard on the way home for a little wine tasting? Visit nearby Wells Cathedral for history, food festivals, and carnivals.
Three walkable pubs are always important to factor in: The Pheasant Inn at the end of the lane behind the treehouse, The Burcott, or the Ring O’Bells in Wookey. You must try the Sheppey Inn at Godney, which is just a 10-minute drive away. This quirky establishment has been rated one of the best British pubs.
Great for:
Magical living
Couples weekends away

Easily accessible from London by train or car
