Introducing you to the wonderful new Camelot Cabin at The Orchard at Fenny in Somerset. We’re loving everything about this retreat, built by With Bear Hands UK and the Owners with sustainable intent. Camelot is able to sleep up to 6 with sunken baths, hot tub, sauna, outdoor kitchen and cinema room; it’s time to go to another level for a group stay and gather your friends for a weekend of fabulousness.

Inside Camelot

Camelot Cabin is big and roomy with three bedrooms, two downstairs, one of these an ensuite bedroom, off the main open plan sitting room and kitchen area and one on a loft mezzanine area. All bedrooms have king size beds. The heart of the cabin is the huge open plan sitting room and kitchen area, which spills out onto the cabin terraces.

The Kitchen is fully equipped with an L shaped breakfast bar, Miele appliances, a gas hob, oven, kettle, toaster, and two fridge/freezers.

You have a choice of 2 bathrooms, including an en suite wet room and a shared wet room with a double walk-in shower, sink and flushing loo. There are complimentary Bramley toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bubble bath & hand wash.

Outside Camelot

We think that the outside hangout area is the best we’ve seen with a firepit, a William Holland six-person sunken bath, outdoor kitchen and many relaxed and more formal sitting areas.

Potter off to the sauna and the gym, hot tub or sunken bath, or if you’d like to explore a little further, take one of the Dutch bikes for a local cycle.

There are wonderful views across the Somerset flats for miles, so it’s a perfect place to take in the local countryside and wildlife.

Camelot Cabin at The Orchard at Fenny Castle is actually one of four bespoke wildlife retreats at the edge of the Mendip Hills in Somerset, with breathtaking views across the Somerset countryside. There are also two treehouses, Dabinet and Pomeroy and One Cabin, Vilberie. The two treehouses and cabin are beautifully crafted, offering many spoiling features as couples retreats. The owners believe that luxury and nature can coexist harmoniously and have built sustainable luxury retreats to ensure that your holiday doesn’t come at the expense of the environment. We especially love the Orchard at Fenny’s unique location in the Mendips, with its’ abundance of wildlife and calm.

This is a fantastic area for walking and bird watching, with three RSBP reserves close by at Shapwick Heath, Ham Wall and West Hay. At dusk in the winter months you can see the world famous Starling murmurations.

If you fancy venturing further afield, there are Dutch vintage bikes to travel to the local pub. Perhaps sample the delectable local dairy produce or visit the local goat farm or explore the world famous Wookey caves.
