The Meadows at Polehanger

Luxury glamping at any time of the year with four beautifully crafted luxury glamping cabins, set within the meadows of Polehanger Farm in rural Bedfordshire, less than an hour from London.

This is the perfect luxury glamping spot to stay in one of four beautifully built and decorated cabins, each with their own garden area and three with their own hot tub, to soak up uninterrupted countryside views as friends, a romantic weekend away or for a family adventure.

There are four cabins in the Meadow, sleeping 4-6 guests. Set on a working family farm, which is run by the Foster family, the cabins sit beyond the tree lined driveway, the perfect spot to watch the local wildlife, to enjoy the wildflower meadow in the summer months, with fabulous countryside views all year round.

Inside The Cabins

The four cabins Marigold, Evebright, Wallflower and Aster are all slightly different – and all with good wifi, a fire pit, private garden, and beautifully decorated interiors. Three cabins have a hot tub; one has a free-standing bath.

Often guests at the cabins come for shorter stays and don’t necessarily want to cook or bring lots of food with them, so you are able to pre order from a large menu choice on site, including breakfast and bbq boxes.

All cabins provide towels and bedding, hair dryer and toilet rolls and each cabin has a fully equipped kitchen should you wish to cook. All the cabins have a selection of games & books and blankets for relaxing by the fire pit.

If you’re staying during colder seasons, there is infrared heating to keep you cosy.

There are 7km of countryside walks spilling out from Polehanger Meadows onto arable farmland and woodland with many walks onto footpaths taking you across the beautiful Bedfordshire countryside.

The Meadows are set within 400 acres of arable farmland in Central Bedfordshire, between the town of Shefford and the villages of Meppershall and Campton.

The local area has lots to do with the fabulous market town of Hitchin nearby and less than a 5 minute drive away is Shefford with lots of shops, restaurants and pubs.

Groups of Friends and Hen Weekends at The Farmhouse at Polehanger

The owners Andrew and Charlotte Foster are happy for you to book larger groups of friends and hen weekends at the Meadows at Polehanger, sleeping a maximum number of 15 ladies or guests as a maximum. You would need to book the whole glamping site and contact the owners directly to organise this.

Private Weddings at Polehanger

Polehanger also have in another part of the Farm a lovely farmhouse and beautiful gardens in Meppershall, Bedfordshire, provide a perfect country setting for a private wedding blessing or celebration. Owners Andrew and Charlotte have teamed up with highly experienced event managers to ensure perfection for your wedding day.

If you’re looking for a private, relaxed and country wedding, this is a beautiful setting with uninterrupted countryside views, leaving you to create your own simple yet elegant romantic setting for your wedding day with your closest friends and family. It goes without saying that when you hire the Gardens at Polehanger, this includes the six bedroom farmhouse to prepare for your day and to spend your wedding night. You can then book out the Cabins at The Meadows at Polehanger for other guests.

Housekeeping

Each cabin is perfect for a couple, small groups (up to four adults) and families (two adults plus up to four children – under 16s).

There is a minimum weekend stay of two nights. One night stays are available mid-week.

Sorry, no dogs on site at the Meadows at Polehanger, as this does not always work with other families and friends staying in another cabin.

Travel to the Meadows at Polehanger in Meppershall, Bedfordshire

The Meadows at Polehanger is easy to get to by train or by car.

It is only 35 / 40 minutes from central London by train – best to get a train to in Arlesey station which takes 40 minutes from London with a 5 minute taxi ride to Polehanger Meadows. You can also get a direct train to Hitchin which takes 35 minutes from London, with a 15 minute taxi journey to the Meadows.

It is also just 15 minutes from both the A1 and M1 and 30 minutes from London Luton airport and 1 hours from London Stanstead airport.
