Howgill Lodges
Luxury Timber Lodges with hot tubs in the Yorkshire Dales, perfect for couples and families
We’ve chosen these gorgeous luxury lodges in the Yorkshire Dales to be part of the BLR Directory, not only because of the thoughtful interiors and layout, but because Howgill Lodge offers a stunning location overlooking the Wharfe valley in the Yorkshire Dales.
There are four luxury timber lodges, two nearer to Howgill Lodge’s campsite, The Shepherd and The Gamekeeper and two set aside, The Herdsman and Fisherman Lodge, discreetly nestled away for remote privacy, so be sure to book the lodge which suits you best.
Inside the Lodges
Each of the holiday cottages sleeps up to six, with two bedrooms, one double and one twin and a sofa bed if needed in the sitting room. Each timber lodge has been designed around their namesake with award-winning interior design and has a shower room, spacious open plan and fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and sitting room, with panoramic views over the Wharfe Valley.
Outside the Lodges
Outside, each Lodge has a private wood fired hot tub where you can completely relax and unwind in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park and perhaps enjoy some bubbles watching the sun going down and star gazing below the clear night sky. On each lodge terrace, you will find a large fire pit with pizza oven and garden furniture for alfresco dining.
The Area
If you decide to bring the children, this is the perfect place to introduce them to the Yorkshire Dales, with lots of space to explore, building dens in the woodland, playing ball games on the shared playing field, or hang out with Howgill Lodge’s Alpacas who love lots of attention.
There is also a campsite and caravan park at Howgill Lodge, so you may want to invite friends to stay in one of the other lodges at Howgill and perhaps those friends more willing to camp than glamp at Howgill Lodge camping.
This is heaven for walkers, as you can start your country walks direct from Howgill Lodge with more hardy hikes across the Bolton Abbey Estate or up to the famous Simons Seat. If a gentler walk down quiet country lanes suits you then follow the river to the nearby village of Appletreewick – with the popular nearby attractions of the Craven Arms and The New Inn to visit or just a short 200-metre stroll down the road is Love Brownies café too. There is something for everyone at Howgill Lodge.
