This unique treehouse has been featured in Robson Green’s Weekend Escapes on BB2 and also on George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces. When you visit you’ll understand why. Set in the 4000-acre Hesleyside Estate in the heart of the Northumberland National Park, Skylark is an ornate treehouse that includes a fairy tale turret and treetop walkways and spiral staircase, covered outdoor copper bath and a large area for al fresco dining. The interior is welcoming too with wood burning stove, an incredibly comfortable king-size bed, en-suite shower room with fluffy towels and flushing loo, wood-burning stove, outdoor bath and child’s drop-down bed.
The enchanting gardens that surround the huts are wonderfully manicured and designed by Capability Brown. Whether you want to simply bask in the peace and tranquillity of the natural world or head off into the wilderness of Northumbria and enjoy hiking, this is a place to relax, refresh and rejuvenate the mind and body.
