On the shores of Loch Fyne on the West Coast of Scotland sit only two cabins, set over 100m apart and each with their own private beach, so that guests can enjoy total seclusion. Here, you can indulge in wild swimming, kayaking, or paddleboarding at your leisure, surrounded by the serenity of the Scottish wilderness.

Inside the Cabins

Each Kabn has been designed to seamlessly integrate with the natural surroundings and have been made from sustainable materials as much as possible. The cabins have stunning loch views from the full height glazed facades, an open plan kitchen and sitting room with a wood burning stove and a totally relaxing space to soak up Loch Fyne and its beauty. There is a King sized bed in the bedroom with sustainably sourced organic cotton sheets and the full ensuite bathroom has a rainfall shower. The owners have used neutral tones and natural materials throughout the retreat and the interior design is truly unique with both Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian contempory design.

Wild Wellness Retreats

Come and stay here if you’re looking for wild loch shore swims, endless walks and morning yoga. The owners support local businesses and work with local experts to provide bespoke activities for your stay.

Just a few steps beyond your private beach, the vast expanse of the 12,000-acre estate awaits. Embark on invigorating walks amidst ancient forests, practice forest bathing to soak in the therapeutic atmosphere, or simply lose yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the Highland scenery. For an extra dose of mindfulness, take advantage of the yoga mats provided in each kabn and join a guided virtual session led by Roseanna Leney, a kabn ambassador and principal ballerina with the Scottish Ballet.

Our favourite wild retreat experience at this retreat is the Wild Kabn Kitchen. An organic, sustainable and delicious experience just a 20 minute walk from the Kabns. Explore the connection between food, fire and nature with Chef William Hamer & Kabn Company in a beautiful characterful greenhouse the stunning Ardkinglas Estate, Loch Fyne. 

Location

The cabins are located on the shores of the world-famous Loch Fyne in Argyll, just a 1-hour drive from Glasgow Airport.

Although you are on a secluded site within the magnificent 12,000 acre Ardkinglas Estate, just a few minutes drive away are Fyne Ales Brewery, Loch Fyne Oyster Restaurant and the pretty market town of Inveraray, known as the gateway to the Highlands.

Dog Friendly 

The cabins are dog friendly between the 1st July and the 28th February each year, as they are on a working estate.
