The estate is famed for Blair Castle, the ancient seat of Earls and Dukes of Atholl as well as the only legal private army in Europe. Enjoy its fine baronial architecture and manicured grounds as well as it fascinating collections of paintings, needlework, furniture, weapons and ethnogrpahica collected by the Murray family over many generations.

The Area

Just 90 minutes from Edinburgh and Glasgow, the estate is a taste of the Highlands that offers a chance to witness the rural beauty of Scotland and take part in traditional country sports such as shooting, salmon fishing and deer stalking.

The nearby Cairngorms National Park is naturally stunning and there are self-guided or ranger-guided tours on offer to explore and experience this unique part of the world.

More than 50 miles of cycling and walking routes await visitors, and Blair Castle is a fascinating place to visit.

And there is plenty of space for a wedding or celebration with the finest food and drink that Scotland has to offer.
